Even before we moved in they started arriving. Building up behind the door like a techno-coloured snowdrift. Menu's that promised us tastes from around the globe and kindly illustrated what they meant with images grabbed from the web.

I could choose a "sky scraper" meal of delicious fried chicken just like they eat in Dixie. Scrumptious pizza like Mama used to make, or perhaps a beef Madras from the mountains in the east. All cooked fresh in a kitchen in Manchester".
